Wolstenholme International offers a range of imported marine plywood panels to meet the needs of boat builders, yacht manufacturers, and pleasure-craft hobbyists, with the highest quality plywood available on the market today. We work exclusively with plywood manufacturers in Europe and Southeast Asia and have jointly developed custom plywood panels to meet the most demanding needs of our customers.

All of our marine plywood panels are manufactured to the British standards for marine grade plywood. This standard is the most stringent worldwide standard by which plywood is manufactured, sought after by boat builders and architects alike, when perfection is the only option. The British Standard 1088 grading rules, or BS1088, mandates which species may be used, construction of the panel, quality of layup, veneer grading, and accepted adhesives. Another quality-control standard often seen, in conjunction with the BS1088 standard, is the Lloyd’s Register Type Approval. The Lloyds register is a third party certifying body that issues certificates to manufacturers to ensure the conformity to the BS1088 standard. We currently offer marine plywood options, with and without the Lloyd’s Type Approval, depending on the needs of our customers.

The Okoume marine grade plywood that we offer to our customers is produced in France, by our partner Joubert Plywood. Our longstanding relationship with Joubert has solidified our place as a leader in the marine plywood market. Widely known as the highest quality Okoume marine plywood available, in North America, and throughout Europe, Joubert continues to be leader in the marine industry. At the heart of Joubert’s policies are the strict quality standards synonymous with the Joubert brand and their commitment to the environmental preservation of Okoume as a species.. Joubert currently works with a varied number of environmental third-party certifiers, and offers production certified by FSC™ (Forest Stewardship Council), PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), and OLB (Origine et Légalité des Bois).

Our marine Meranti plywood is produced in Indonesia by our longstanding partners and specifically designed by Wolstenholme International to ensure they meet our customers’ expectations and the British Standard for marine plywood. To ensure strength, hardness, durability, and esthetics in our marine grade Meranti panels, select Keruing veneers are used for the face, and uniform Red Meranti veneers are used for the core.

Our marine Meranti panels are branded with the trade names Hydrotek & Aquatek, and are produced in accordance with the British Standards, BS1088 and BS6566 respectively.
